ABOUT
Lerwick Brass Band is Britain's most northerly, and Shetland's only, brass band. The band was founded in 1863, and has gone from strength to strength since.

We currently rehearse every Tuesday night promptly from 19:45 until 21:30 at the Bandroom in Gilbertson Park, Lerwick. The doors are open from 19:30 on Tuesday nights. We also practise on Sunday mornings from 11:00 until 12:30, except in the summertime. Check out the news feed for more information on whether Sunday practises are currently on.

There are currently 27 members in the band, along with several other occasional members. There are no fees to join or play in the band.

If you're keen to join the band, find out more, or just visiting the islands and have an interest in local music, then please come along to a practice. Everyone is welcome, and we have instruments for anyone to borrow.
